Polaris - 7" Ltd Edition

Post by duke » Tue May 26, 2009 8:07 pm

Hi all,

Has anyone received the 7" Ltd. Edition of Polaris? I've pre-ordered with HMV in the beginning of april but they're out of stock.

I have it, got it today.

It's pretty nice, the only thing that's disturbing is that it does not include a booklet with lyrics.

Great! Thank you!

add: Second Sight on the 7" vinyl is not the original verion but another mix version by Mikko Karmilla. The original version is on Japanese edition.

Yep. I'm very curious about Second Sight. I ordered the Japanese version. But it still is'n here. So I couldn't stop myself from buying the Digipack when I saw it. Really nice and shiny artwork. :)

I have a problem, or should I say a dilemma...
I've got all other but US version of Polaris (and it was shipped by CD Universe yesterday). But they are all sealed and as somekind of collector, that's the way I want to keep them.
Yet, I'm dying to hear the "Second Sight"...

Isn't that the reason why collector's buy two of each version? One issue to listen and make love too, and one issue to store deep down in the closet away from sunlight?

Thanks for the replies, but how many of you ordered via hmv.co.uk?

Cheers

I ordered via Record Shop X. I get the edition on Monday.

I don't have player for the vynil  so I don't know how Second Sight sounds.

duke, I suggest you contact customer support.

It's a strictly limited collector's edition. It can get sold-out very quickly. And once a store has sold all their copies, they will probably not receive new ones.

Anyone has a number on how many copies that were made?

I think there were 3000. All personally signed by everyone! (it took a while)

I guess you were very tired when you signed mine. I can't tell which autograph is who's. Well, I think I know Lauri's. But to me, all the other's seem to start with a J.

I got mine (shortly after HMV sold out, they did get more).

Seems mine was one of the last signed by many people...signatures seem a little rushed. That's not a complaint though...if I had 3000 signatures to do, I'd have just laid them in a line and ran my pen along them. :)

Mine is opened...sadly. Had to get to the vinyl. But, I will keep it safe. I have no intention of selling it, so reduction in value is not really a consideration.
