Eternal World Tour 2015
A TRUE HEADLINING TOUR :banana1::banana2::banana1::banana2::banana1::banana2::banana1::banana2:
(thought it would be nice to have a separate thread for the tour, to share who's going where and pics and whatever)
Re: Eternal World Tour 2015
The guys are really getting back their momentum. Headlining and all. Seems like EarMUSIC is a really good label for the band! Curious to see how they'll give this coming tour form! I have a good feeling about a revamped setlist!

I've talked with a girl that has a contact with Jorg Michael and they are also planning to tour in North/South America once the European Tour ends, so I assume they'll be heading to this continent by the beginning of next year. CAN'T WAIT!!

Re: Eternal World Tour 2015
It is GREAT. They have returned step by step to be that fantastic band again. Its incredible what they have done and achieved since Polaris.

Re: Eternal World Tour 2015
I was surprised that Nemesis only hit #3 on the Finnish chart. Hopefully Eternal hits #1 again! Maybe stays there for a while.
Re: Eternal World Tour 2015
I'd love that, but they really need to promote it more. They're doing a little Finland Tour before kicking of the Eternal World Tour, that's cool.
But why not a weekly episode of the recodrings on Youtube, starting on the 11th of July. That would be cool. Doesn't have to cost the band anything. They can record and upload it themselves. That way the two month wait will be over quickly and fans can really anticipate.

Re: Eternal World Tour 2015
Back then I was a bit disappointed of Nemesis just hitting #3, too. Maybe the bigger part of Strato-listeners still prefers to hear "classical" power metal instead of something fresh and modern
Anyway, I think I remember having seen Mariano (Biasin)'s name mentioned somewhere during the last weeks, so my wild guess would be, we will get a cool and professional video sooner or later...

Re: Eternal World Tour 2015
If Timo Tolkki and Strato's Facebook pages are anything to go by, South American fans are still attempting to chew their own limbs off in a fury over Stratovarius carrying on the name without Tolkki, and given how many South American fans Strato has... I think that's a safe assumption to makemocobhc wrote:Back then I was a bit disappointed of Nemesis just hitting #3, too. But South Americans don't influence Finland's charts.Empathica1928 wrote:If Timo Tolkki and Strato's Facebook pages are anything to go by, South American fans are still attempting to chew their own limbs off in a fury over Stratovarius carrying on the name without Tolkki, and given how many South American fans Strato has... Re: Eternal World Tour 2015
Back to the actual subject: I was a little disappointed Nemesis was one #3...hopefully Eternal pushes up to #1. Also, they need to come to America cause I can't go to Finland because no money.

Interview in spanish (includes performances of Shine in the Dark, Black Diamond and HHL):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHkTjW4SHls
Among things we already knew, they unveil some interesting detalis about Eternal such as:
-The cover for the album had been made even a year ago from now.
-Lost Saga is an epic 12-min track.
-Fire in your eyes is the ballad of the album.
-In My Line of Work is a complex song with an interesting bass/drum solo break in the middle.
-The playing time for their european tour will be of around 100 minutes.

100 minutes! This really gives nice setlist opportunities!

10 tracks. Longest is 12 minutes. Single is in E-flat minor. Just the one ballad. 0 for 4 so far.SentineLEX wrote:Some predictions before the reveals, just for fun:
11 tracks
Longest track is ~8 mins and written by Jens
Single is in C# minor
Two ballads
3 songs by Lauri
I'm going to make another bet and say Lost Saga will be a 2-parter.
Polaris had 11 songs and its "epic" was 6 minutes. If you put the two emancipations together it's a 12-minute 2 parter. Elysium had an 18-minute 3 parter. Nemesis had a 6-minute one parter. So this one will either stylistically or in the lyrics will be divided into 2 parts.
Still have to see how many songs Lauri writes. And if Jens wrote Lost Saga (probably Matias, but we'll see )

Re: Eternal World Tour 2015
I'm looking forward to hearing what Jens will write. Im always rather impressed by the songs he writes.
Re: Eternal World Tour 2015
four 20 minute long suites in the style of Tales from Topographic Oceans
Jens rocks out on a minimoog at one point, and even plays a breathtaking ragtime piano solo!

Well that would be interesting.
I would love to hear Jens shred a minimoog to pieces sometime.
